In 1977, two of music's most unlikely figures sat down at a piano together for Bing Crosby's television special Merrie Olde Christmas and produced one of the most iconic holiday recordings ever made. Crosby, the definitive voice of American Christmas, and Bowie, rock's most restless reinventor, harmonized on a medley that has outlasted nearly everything else either man recorded that decade. Crosby passed away just weeks after the taping. It was one of his final recorded performances.
This collector's edition picture disc 12-inch vinyl features the iconic image of Bowie and Crosby at the piano, a moment that existed for one afternoon and has never been replicated.
